NewNOTEPAD II is distributed as shareware.  You may try it for 30 days, after which we ask that you either delete your copy or register it by sending $20 (US) or 2500 YEN.  When you register, you receive version-up information via e-mail, and a registration code to disable the shareware reminders that begin popping up after 30 days.
